Our verdict

ArkThinker suits desktop users who want video and photo conversion in a single licence and prefer to buy rather than subscribe. Video Converter Ultimate costs $15.60 and runs on Windows and Mac, so the platform list decides who can install it and the entry price decides who pays.

Who it suits

  • Desktop users on Windows and Mac who convert video and photo files regularly and want a licence they keep.
  • Readers who want video and photo work covered by the same purchase rather than separate buys.
  • Buyers who want a low risk decision, since a free version comes first and 30 days of money back sits behind the paid tier.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Budget buyers, since CLIP STUDIO PAINT starts at $0.99 against $15.60 here.
  • Shoppers after the lowest entry of the group, since Wondershare starts at $3.33.

Intro and renewal prices

Video Converter Ultimate starts at $15.60, and for readers weighing entry against renewal the useful thing is knowing which figure repeats. This is a licence price: the amount at entry is the amount paid, so nothing has to be added for a later period in the budget. The paid tier sits alongside a free version, which makes $15.60 a comparison point for people already using the free tools rather than a barrier for people just starting. Small teams can therefore treat the entry figure as the full cost of adopting the converter.

What you get free

The free version is why many readers will look here before anything else. It removes the need to pay in order to put a real file through the converter, and the paid side is protected by 30 days of money back if the licence turns out not to fit. Taken together, the free tier and the refund window cover both halves of the risk: try first, buy with a way out. For a small team testing a converter against a project deadline, that ordering matters more than a slightly lower headline price elsewhere.

The company behind it

ArkThinker was founded in 2022, a short operating history for a vendor taking a licence payment. Support runs on email and help centre: email for direct questions and a help centre for repeat ones, with no live chat or phone line listed. Help centres are the most common support channel in the pc-software group here at 87%, so this setup is normal for the category. What differs from rivals carrying more channels is speed on anything urgent, which matters when a conversion job is blocking a deadline.

How ArkThinker compares

Frequently asked questions

How much does ArkThinker Video Converter Ultimate cost?+

The entry price for Video Converter Ultimate is $15.60. It is a licence figure, so the amount at entry is the amount paid rather than a rate that changes later. A free version is also available, which gives readers a way to try conversion before committing to that price.

Is there a free version of ArkThinker?+

Yes. A free version is available, so trying a conversion costs nothing. free plan, free trial and one time also lists a free plan and a free trial, so the free route is part of how the product is sold rather than a stripped demo that stops at the first save.

How long is the free trial?+

free plan, free trial and one time includes a free trial among the ways ArkThinker sells, alongside the free plan and the licence purchase. Trialled brands in the pc-software group here run to 14 days at the typical point, which gives a sense of the window without pinning ArkThinker to it.

Which computers can run ArkThinker?+

The software runs on Windows and Mac, which covers the main desktop platforms and nothing beyond them. Both are covered by the same entry price of $15.60, so the platform choice does not change what is paid. Anything outside those platforms, such as a Linux machine or a phone, sits outside what ArkThinker supports.

What does the ArkThinker licence include?+

The suite covers video and photo work, so video and photo conversions are handled under the same purchase rather than as separate add-ons. free plan, free trial and one time shows how it is sold: a free plan, a free trial and a licence purchase. Buying the licence at $15.60 covers both media types the product is built for.

What is the refund policy?+

30 days of money back sit behind the purchase. That window is long enough to run a real conversion job and judge the output before deciding to keep it. Combined with the free version, a buyer can try the free tools, then buy, then still back out within the refund period.

How do I get help from ArkThinker?+

Support runs on email and help centre. Email covers direct questions and the help centre covers the ones that repeat, which is a written path rather than a live call. For a small business that is workable, provided nothing is on fire while a file is mid-conversion.

Is ArkThinker an established company?+

ArkThinker was founded in 2022, so the vendor is newer than the long running desktop utilities in this category. Buyers who weigh company age can also weigh the 30 day refund window, which limits what a young operation can cost them if the licence disappoints.
