Frequently asked questions
What does shared hosting cost at Cloud.mu?+
The entry price is MUR 289, and renewal is the same MUR 289, so nothing changes when the first term ends. Shared plans include free SSL, backups and email, and allow 2-50 add-on domains depending on plan.
How much are .com domains at Cloud.mu?+
A .com costs MUR 804 for the first year, MUR 804 on renewal and MUR 804 to transfer in. All three figures match, and the catalogue covers 448 endings.
Is WHOIS privacy included with domains?+
Free WHOIS privacy is listed as no on domain registrations. A .com costs MUR 804 for the first year, MUR 804 on renewal and MUR 804 to transfer in, so the same figure covers all three.
What hosting types can I buy?+
The range covers shared web hosting, WordPress hosting and Linux VPS. That runs from ordinary shared plans through WordPress hosting to VPS and dedicated servers, with cloud backup and reseller accounts alongside.
Where are the servers and who runs Cloud.mu?+
The provider is registered in Mauritius under the legal entity Hosted Ltd, and has traded since 2002. Data centres are listed for Mauritius, so sites sit close to local traffic.
How do I reach support?+
Support is available through email, chat and phone. That means email, live chat, phone and a help centre, which covers both quick questions and longer technical issues, so most enquiries have a route.
Can I try the site builder before paying?+
The builder runs on a free trial rather than a free plan, so a free plan is listed as no. Paid builds start at MUR 279, and the store plan costs MUR 1,299. There are at least from 200 templates to start from.
What uptime does Cloud.mu commit to?+
The stated uptime guarantee is 98%. Buyers who need a higher figure in writing should settle that before signing up, since the published terms set this figure.
