Pros and cons
Pros
- Every hosting type on a single account: shared hosting, WordPress/cPanel hosting and cloud hosting (Unix).
- Support runs on email, phone and help centre, phone included.
- Hosting bundles free ssl, backups and cdn instead of selling them as add ons.
- Free WHOIS privacy is included with domains.
Cons
- The free plan is not offered, so testing means taking the trial before you buy.
- Equipment sits in Hong Kong, so visitors outside the region see extra latency.
- Support runs on email, phone and help centre only, without live chat.
Who it suits
- Small businesses in Hong Kong that want a local host reachable by phone and email.
- Enterprises that need colocation or dedicated servers alongside managed cloud.
- Teams selling online who want hosting, email and a store plan on a single bill.
Who should look elsewhere
- Render, whose intro price of $0 means a prototype can start at no cost.
- Afrihost, whose intro price of ZAR 84 suits buyers who bill in rand.
- Hosting.cl, whose intro price of CLP 159,900 suits buyers who bill in Chilean pesos.
Core features
CommuniLink runs shared hosting, WordPress/cPanel hosting and cloud hosting (Unix), so a small site and an enterprise rack sit on the same account. Plans bundle free ssl, backups and cdn, which covers certificates, backups, a CDN and mail without separate add ons. Equipment sits in Hong Kong, which keeps response times short for a local audience.
How it compares on our data

Frequently asked questions
How much does Communilink cost to get started?+
Entry shared hosting is priced at HKD 59 on a 24 month commitment, and plans start at HKD 88 more broadly. That figure already covers free SSL, backups, a CDN and email, with no add on line items on top.
Does the renewal price match the intro price?+
On the entry shared hosting plan it does. The intro price is HKD 59 and the renewal price is HKD 88, the same figure, so a reader who signs at the headline rate is not moved up a tier at renewal. That steadiness is unusual in this group.
Is there a free plan?+
No, the free plan is not offered, so a trial is the practical route in. Cloud hosting carries a 30 day money back period as well, which gives a second way to test before committing to a longer term.
Which hosting types can I choose from?+
The range runs shared hosting, WordPress/cPanel hosting and cloud hosting (Unix). That covers a small business on shared hosting and an enterprise that needs colocation or dedicated hardware, with WordPress and cPanel hosting in between. The service is provided by CommuniLink Internet Limited, based in Hong Kong.
Where are the servers, and what uptime is promised?+
Equipment sits in Hong Kong, so local visitors get short response times while anyone further away sees more delay. Shared hosting carries an uptime guarantee of 99.9%, and the operator has traded since 1999.
How do I reach support?+
Support runs on email, phone and help centre, so a phone line sits alongside email and a help centre for self service answers. The provider trades as CommuniLink Internet Limited in Hong Kong, which matters to anyone signing a local contract rather than an overseas one.
Can I sell through it as well as host?+
Yes. The e commerce plan is priced at HKD 1,999, and the builder covers both site and store. Hosting bundles free ssl, backups and cdn alongside it, so a store gets certificates, backups, a CDN and email without a second supplier.
Is domain privacy included?+
Free WHOIS privacy is included with domains, so registration details stay hidden with no add on charge for it. Hosting is a separate line: entry shared hosting is HKD 59 and renews at HKD 88.
