Hostico review

Hosting starts at €1.99, and that introductory rate covers the first 1 month only. The site builder and domain registration sit alongside it, with an e-commerce plan at €4.99. Registering a domain is separate, and Hostico lists 500 of them.

Renewal is set at €2.99, a clear step up from the introductory €1.99. The jump is worth budgeting for, so treat the first month as a trial rather than the ongoing cost. Both figures are in euros, which suits European buyers.

Hostico offers 30 days to change your mind, which matches the most common money back window across the site. That gives you room to move a live site across and check speed, backups and email before settling in.

The range covers shared hosting, reseller hosting and cloud vps, so a single site and a reseller account can sit side by side. Cloud VPS and managed hosting give more control for larger or busier projects, while shared hosting stays the cheap default for a single site.

The builder offers a free plan, and its pricing model is built around that free plan, so you can draft a site first and pay later. It is a site builder with 535 templates to start from, aimed at standard pages rather than complex stores.

Hostico lists Bucharest, Romania as its data centre location. That placement is convenient for European visitors and less ideal for anyone further away, so check latency from your own region before committing to a longer contract.

Support covers email, chat and phone, so you can reach a person by phone, live chat or email, and browse the help centre yourself first. The uptime guarantee of 99.9% is the stated baseline the support side is measured against.

The included features are free ssl, backups and staging, which cover the essentials for a business site. A free SSL certificate protects traffic, backups protect your content, and email keeps your domain based addresses working. Staging is on the list too, useful for testing changes.

Entry level hosting covers a single domain, while Business, Enterprise and Reseller plans allow unlimited domains. Start sits at the cheaper end, so check the domain allowance on your plan before buying, or price the higher tiers if you run several properties.
