Pros and cons
Pros
- Entry cloud hosting at €2.99 renews at €5.99, so the step after the first term is modest.
- Free SSL, backups and email come as standard rather than as paid add-ons.
- The money-back period of 30 days matches the window most listed providers give.
- Domain pricing does not move: €13.95 for the first year, €13.95 at renewal and €13.95 to transfer.
Cons
- Renewal of €5.99 against an entry price of €2.99 means the bill after a 36 month term is higher.
- Intro price ranks 139 of 282, so the opening figure sits well down the field.
- Hosting runs from DEAC, Riga, Latvia, so visitors far from Latvia sit further from the origin.
Who it suits
- Small businesses in Latvia and nearby markets that want hosting, domains and email from a single provider.
- Beginners who want a site or store with SSL, backups and email already included.
- Store owners who want hosting without a platform transaction charge, since the transaction fee is free.
Who should look elsewhere
- Developers who want a free starting tier: the intro price at Render is $0.
- Readers who want a South African provider: Afrihost lists an intro price of ZAR 84.
- Buyers who want a Chilean option to weigh alongside this one: Hosting.cl lists an intro price of CLP 159,900.
Where it sits among rivals
Hostnet.lv ranks 139 of 282 on intro price, so the opening price sits mid-table rather than at the front. Renewal price, the figure most readers pay later, ranks better at 88 of 179. The money-back period places it at 35 of 275, where most providers share the same window.

Frequently asked questions
What does cloud hosting cost on Hostnet.lv?+
Cloud hosting starts at €2.99 when you pay for a 36 month term, and those plans renew at €5.99. The entry figure is mid-range for the market, so the renewal price is the one worth planning around.
How long is the money-back period?+
The money-back period is 30 days, the same window most providers in the listing give. That is long enough to move a site across and judge speed and support before deciding whether to keep it.
What does a .com domain cost?+
A .com costs €13.95 in the first year, €13.95 at renewal and €13.95 to transfer in. The three figures match, so there is no steep first-year discount to wait for and no transfer premium to budget for.
What comes with the hosting plan?+
Free SSL, backups and email are included on the plans, and hosting covers 1 to 10 domains per plan, unlimited subdomains. Templates for a quick start number 140. That covers a small site or a store without paying for each add-on separately.
Where does the hosting run?+
The listed data centre is DEAC, Riga, Latvia, and the company is SIA Hostnet, headquartered in Latvia and trading since 2006. Cloud plans carry an uptime guarantee of 99.99%, so distance from that data centre counts for visitors further away.
How do I get help?+
Support runs on email, phone and help centre. A help centre is the most common route among listed providers, while phone support sits with a smaller share, so email or the help centre is the likeliest fast path to an answer.
Who is Hostnet.lv built for?+
Hostnet.lv is aimed at beginners, small businesses and enterprise buyers, and the plan types cover Cloud hosting, Business hosting and WordPress hosting. Beginners get a straightforward starting point, while larger buyers have VPS and dedicated server routes to go up to.
Can I sell online with it?+
Site and store builds are both supported, and the e-commerce plan price is €5.99. The platform transaction fee is free, so a store does not add a per-sale platform charge on top of the plan.
