IONOS review

Web hosting opens at $1 for an initial term of 12 months. That sits below the €2.95 median across the ranking, so the first bill is one of the cheaper entries. Renewal is priced separately and quoted below.

Renewal fees run $8 to $18 across the plans. That range sits above the €3.55 low end of the ranking but close to the €6.14 median. Budget for the renewal figure rather than the entry figure when planning costs.

IONOS offers 30 days of money back on web hosting. The 30 and 30 figures for the category are the same, so the window is a standard length rather than a distinguishing one. It matches the 30 median.

The range covers shared hosting, WordPress hosting and eCommerce hosting. Shared and WordPress hosting suit small sites, while VPS, dedicated and cloud plans serve larger workloads. Each hosting type is sold by the same provider, so accounts can move up without changing registrars.

A .com costs $1 in the first year and $20 on renewal. Transfers come at $0, and WHOIS privacy is free. The first year price is well under the €11.61 median, while renewal is above the €12.35 figure.

The store builder charges a transaction fee of 0%, and the eCommerce plan costs $26. That plan price is above the €14 median for builders in the category, so compare the plan against rivals if selling is the main goal.

The listed locations are Frankfurt am Main 1 (DE), Frankfurt am Main 2 (DE) and Berlin (DE). The company is headquartered in Germany and operates as IONOS Inc.. Choosing a location near your visitors can shorten response times for European and US traffic.
