Pros and cons

Pros

  • A .com costs PYG 95,000 in the first year, PYG 95,000 at renewal and PYG 95,000 to bring one across, so nothing steps up between stages.
  • Hosting runs from shared and CloudLinux plans through managed and unmanaged VPS plus reseller hosting, on the same account as the domain.
  • The site builder covers sites, stores and landing pages from PYG 45,000, with the e-commerce plan at PYG 70,000 and a transaction fee of 0%.
  • Support reaches buyers through email, chat, phone and a help centre, and hosting plans include free SSL, backups and email.

Cons

  • Renewal brings no relief: a .com renews at PYG 95,000 and hosting renews at PYG 38,000, matching the entry figures.
  • Three entry points sit side by side, PYG 45,000 for the builder, PYG 38,000 for hosting and PYG 70,000 for the store plan, so the bundle total is not one number.
  • Uptime is guaranteed at 99.9%, so the promise is not an always on one.

Who it suits

  • Small businesses in Paraguay that want a .com, hosting and a store from one provider
  • Shop owners weighing store builders, with the e-commerce plan at PYG 70,000
  • Resellers and site owners who need managed or unmanaged VPS alongside their domains

Who should look elsewhere

  • VPS.org, where a .com first year is $12.51, for buyers whose main spend is already VPS hosting
  • Afrihost, listed at ZAR 289 for a .com first year, if you price in rand rather than guaraní
  • Host Chile, where a .com first year is CLP 16,900, if you would rather read prices in pesos

Plans and pricing

A .com costs PYG 95,000 in the first year. Renewal is set at PYG 95,000 and a transfer in at PYG 95,000, so the entry, renewal and move in figures sit close together. The same rate covers registering, keeping and moving the name, which means the renewal line is the one to budget from rather than a promotion. For buyers looking several years ahead, nothing steps up between the first and second term.

Who runs it

MaxDominios is run by SETIK Technology S.A., based in Paraguay, and has been trading since 1999. Support runs through email, live chat, phone and a help centre, so domain, hosting and store questions go to the same company that bills for all of them. Being one operation matters most for buyers who want one point of contact instead of a separate provider for every part of the stack.

How MaxDominios compares

Frequently asked questions

What does a .com cost for the first year?+

A .com registration is priced at PYG 95,000, and the same figure sits on the renewal line, so the opening term is not a cut rate that quietly doubles later. Bringing a domain you already own costs PYG 95,000 to transfer in.

What happens when the domain and hosting renew?+

A .com renews at PYG 95,000 and hosting renews at PYG 38,000 against an entry price of PYG 38,000. Budgets built for the first year therefore hold for the second, which makes long term planning easier for readers comparing renewal behaviour.

What kinds of hosting can I buy?+

Hosting covers shared and CloudLinux plans, VPS hosting, managed and unmanaged VPS servers and reseller hosting, with entry pricing at PYG 38,000. Included features are free SSL, backups and email, and a plan allows unlimited parking domains and subdomains.

How much is the website builder?+

The builder starts at PYG 45,000 and produces sites, stores and landing pages. If you plan to sell rather than only publish, the e-commerce plan is listed at PYG 70,000, which is the line to weigh alongside domain and hosting.

Is there a transaction fee on store sales?+

The transaction fee is 0%, so sales run without a percentage taken by the builder. That keeps the running cost of a store closer to the plan price, though the e-commerce plan itself still starts at PYG 70,000.

How do I reach support?+

Support runs through email, live chat, phone and a help centre, which is broader than email alone. The hosting plans that support comes with start at PYG 38,000 and carry a 99.9% uptime guarantee, so service and availability sit with the same company.

Who runs MaxDominios?+

MaxDominios is operated by SETIK Technology S.A., headquartered in Paraguay, and has been trading since 1999. Domains, hosting and the store builder are all sold by that company, so invoices arrive in the same currency for regional buyers.

How does its .com price compare with other registrars?+

MaxDominios lists a .com at PYG 95,000, while the other registrars in the comparison are quoted in their own currencies: $12.51 at VPS.org, CLP 16,900 at Host Chile and ZAR 289 at Afrihost. Check the currency before ranking the figures.
