Our verdict
StormerHost pairs local-currency entry pricing with hosting that runs from shared plans to dedicated servers, which suits Ghanaian small businesses putting a first site online. The catch is a money-back period of 15 days, well under the 30 that most providers in this category offer.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Entry pricing of GHS 9 for 12 months keeps the first shared hosting term cheap.
- Hosting types cover shared hosting, Linux shared hosting and Windows shared hosting, so a site can grow without changing provider.
- Support runs on email, chat and phone, and data centres span USA, UK and India.
- Plans include free ssl, backups and email, so certificates, backups and email come as standard.
Cons
- The money-back period of 15 days is short, leaving little room to change your mind after paying.
- Free WHOIS privacy is a no on a .com registration, so keeping contact details private costs extra beyond the GHS 170 first year fee.
- Add-on domains rise from none on Starter to unlimited on Professional, so extra sites cost more on the cheaper plans.
Who it suits
- Small businesses in Ghana wanting hosting, domains and email under a single provider
- Beginners who want to publish on a free plan before paying for hosting
- Site owners who need data centre choice across USA, UK and India
Who should look elsewhere
- Render, if you want a free entry price of $0 and do not need a full hosting account
- Hosting.cl, whose entry price of CLP 159,900 is set in Chilean pesos for a different market
- Afrihost, if a longer money-back window matters more than the 15 days on offer here
What you get free
StormerHost offers a free plan, so a site can be published before any hosting spend. Paid plans are covered by a money-back period of 15 days, which is short enough that a cancellation decision has to be made early. The free side covers the basics, with hosting upgrades sitting alongside it.
The company behind it
StormerHost is based in Ghana and has been trading since 2015. Support runs through email, chat and phone, so routine questions can go to the help centre while urgent hosting issues reach a person by phone or chat. Email support keeps a written record for anything that needs following up later.

Frequently asked questions
How much does hosting cost to begin with?+
Hosting starts at GHS 9, with the introductory rate running 12 months. That entry price covers the shared Linux plans, and the same account also carries VPS, cloud server, reseller and dedicated server products, so the entry tier is a starting point rather than a ceiling.
Is there a free plan?+
Yes, a free plan is offered and the site builder runs on a free plan model, so a site can go live before any hosting spend. The builder is a general site rather than a store, with 535 templates to pick from.
How long is the money-back period?+
The money-back period is 15 days, shorter than the guarantee most hosts in this comparison offer. On that measure StormerHost sits at 217 of 275 brands, so read it as a short testing window rather than an open ended one.
What kinds of hosting are on offer?+
The range covers shared hosting, Linux shared hosting and Windows shared hosting. Shared Linux and Windows plans suit small sites, WordPress hosting is offered for site builders, and VPS, cloud, reseller and dedicated servers take you further. Included features are free ssl, backups and email.
What does a .com domain cost?+
A .com registration costs GHS 170 in the first year and renews at GHS 180, with transfers at GHS 170. Renewal sits close to the first year figure, so the jump after the introductory period is small.
Is WHOIS privacy included with domains?+
Free WHOIS privacy is a no on domain registration, so keeping contact details private costs extra on top of the GHS 170 first year price. Several registrars in this comparison include it at no charge, which makes it a line worth adding to the domain budget.
How do I reach support?+
Support runs on email, chat and phone. Phone and chat suit urgent hosting problems, email keeps a written record for anything that needs following up, and the help centre handles routine questions. All of it comes from the same account.
