Who runs it
The Formations Company is run by THEFORMATIONCOMPANY UK LIMITED, registered in the United Kingdom. Its formation service covers GB, so it is built for UK companies rather than a wider market. Support runs on email, phone and help centre, giving founders a help centre for self-serve questions and phone and email for anything more involved. The audience is set at small business and beginners, so the service is aimed at founders setting up their first company and small businesses without a large in-house admin team.

Frequently asked questions
What does The Formations Company charge to form a company?+
Package price from £4.99 is the entry point for its UK formation service. The state fee is not included, so the true starting cost is higher than that headline figure. Compare it with the company-formation median of €78.49.
Is the state fee included in the quoted price?+
No, the state fee is not included. The £4.99 package price covers the service, and the state fee is a separate cost. This is common in the category, where the majority of ranked providers also exclude it.
Which countries can be served?+
Formation runs in the United Kingdom, so the service is aimed at UK companies. The company itself is based in the United Kingdom. Anyone needing a company outside that market should look elsewhere.
Who is The Formations Company built for?+
The stated audience is small business and beginners. It is set up for first-time founders and small businesses rather than large organisations, which matches a straightforward formation package priced from £4.99.

Which legal entity runs the service?+
The service is run by THEFORMATIONCOMPANY UK LIMITED, a company registered in the United Kingdom. The same entity handles the UK formation offering described on the site.
How does the price compare with other formation providers?+
Its package price from £4.99 ranks at 21 of 70 on this measure, and the site median is €13.15. For context, ANNA Money starts at £19 and myGreekTax at €69.
