What is Bank feeds?
In short
Bank feeds are live connections that pull transactions into your accounting software instead of making you enter them by hand.
A bank feed is a live connection between your bank and your accounting software, so new payments, transfers and fees arrive already labelled and ready to reconcile. Without one, someone copies every line from online banking into the ledger by hand, which is slow, error prone and the reason books fall behind. The providers listed here all offer the feature: 7C, Abacus, AccKnown, Accountable and Alegra each include it, and Alegra confirms bank feeds across its pricing. Feeds vary in how many accounts and banks they cover, and some are limited to certain countries, so check the list for the banks you actually use.
