What is Transaction fee?

In short

A cut a store takes from each sale, on top of the plan price you already pay.

A transaction fee is an extra amount a store builder takes from every sale you make, usually shown as a percentage of the order value. It sits on top of your plan price, so a cheap plan with a high fee can cost more once sales start. The spread below is wide. Amen.pt, Arsys, Aruba and Big Cartel all take no transaction fee, so the only cost is the plan itself. Atom Media Botswana takes a small percentage on each order. If your volume of sales is steady and predictable, a per-sale charge is a running cost you cannot avoid, and no fee is a reason to prefer one builder over another.
