Pros and cons

Pros

  • A .com first year price of DOP 600 and a transfer price of DOP 600, both under the €11.61 site median.
  • Hosting spans shared linux, shared windows and vps linux, with entry pricing of DOP 200 to DOP 4,500.
  • Hosting plans include free ssl, backups and email, alongside an uptime guarantee of 99.95%.
  • Support runs on email, chat and phone, so phone and chat sit next to email and the help centre.

Cons

  • The .com renewal of DOP 950 costs more than the DOP 600 first year price, so the second year is the real budget line.

  • Hosting entry pricing of DOP 200 to DOP 4,500 sits above the €2.99 site median.

Who it suits

  • Buyers who want a .com and a hosting plan from the same company rather than juggling two suppliers.
  • Small businesses that want help through email, chat and phone in the currency they already pay in.
  • Anyone who needs Windows hosting next to Linux, since the list covers shared linux, shared windows and vps linux.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Buyers who would rather register at VPS.org, where a .com first year costs $12.51 in US dollars.
  • Shoppers working in rand, since Afrihost quotes a .com first year of ZAR 289.
  • Buyers on a Chilean peso budget, where Host Chile puts a .com first year at CLP 16,900.

Who runs it

Dominios.com.do trades as DOMINIOS DOMINICANOS, S. A., registered in the Dominican Republic and trading since 1999. Support is the widest part of the setup, with email, chat and phone covering written, live and self service help, so you can reach the same company on whichever channel fits the problem.

How Dominios.com.do compares

Frequently asked questions

How much is a .com in the first year and at renewal?+

A .com registration costs DOP 600 in the first year and renews at DOP 950 from year two. Moving an existing .com in costs DOP 600. Plan around the renewal figure, because that is the price that repeats every year while the first year price is a one-off.

What hosting plans can I pick?+

The range covers shared linux, shared windows and vps linux, so a small shared site and a dedicated server both sit inside one list. Shared and VPS plans come in Linux and Windows flavours. Entry pricing runs DOP 200 to DOP 4,500, a range that depends on the plan and the term you pick.

Where are the servers located?+

Servers sit in United States. That is the only location listed, so page loads for visitors far from that region lean on the network rather than a nearby server. If most of your traffic is local, the distance matters less than it would for a wide international audience.

How long is the money back period?+

The money back window runs 60 days, longer than the 30 day median across this category. You can use that time to load a site, connect a domain and check mail, then decide whether the plan stays.

What is included with the hosting?+

Hosting plans carry free ssl, backups and email, so certificates, backups and email sit in the package rather than as paid extras. An uptime guarantee of 99.95% is published alongside them, which gives you something to point at if a site stops serving pages.

How do I reach support?+

Support runs on email, chat and phone, so you can pick the channel that fits the problem. A help centre handles the repeatable questions, chat covers the quick ones, and phone and email are there for anything that needs a person to read the details.

How does the .com price compare with other registrars?+

The other listed registrars quote a .com first year of $12.51 at VPS.org, ZAR 289 at Afrihost and CLP 16,900 at Host Chile, each in its own currency. Dominios.com.do stays in Dominican pesos, so the comparison worth making is the one in your own currency.
