Our verdict
FrenchPod101 suits beginners who want structured French study without a large commitment, offering a free plan and a free trial alongside paid access from $4. The trade-off is depth of support, since help runs through the help centre rather than a direct line.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Entry pricing is the lowest of the listed set: paid access starts at $4, against €9 for Qonto and €9.90 for Accountable.
- A free plan and a 7 free trial give two ways to look before committing to a paid tier.
- It runs on web, android and ios, so a course can start in a browser or on a phone.
- The stated audience is beginners, which matches a first-time learner.
Cons
- Support is limited to the help centre, with no direct contact channel listed.
- A 7 trial sits below the 15 for the group, so the decision window is short.
- Only $4 is stated, so what the rate looks like at renewal is left open.

Frequently asked questions
How much does FrenchPod101 cost to start?+
Paid access starts at $4. That figure is the entry price rather than a stated renewal rate, so the amount after the first period is left open. Qonto lists €9 and Accountable lists €9.90 for comparison, though both sit in the accounting software set.
Is there a free plan?+
Yes, a free plan is available, and the listed model covers free plan and free trial access. A 7 free trial runs alongside it, so the paid tier can be weighed against the free one before any money changes hands.
How long is the free trial?+
The free trial runs 7. That is shorter than the 15 recorded across the accounting software set, and well below the 365 at the top end. The free plan is the longer way to test the service.
Which devices can I use it on?+
It runs on web, android and ios, so the same account works in a browser and on Android and iOS. That covers a desktop study session and phone practice without separate sign-ups for each platform.
Who is the service built for?+
FrenchPod101 names beginners as its audience, so it targets people new to the language. The accounting software set it appears alongside leans the other way, with 95.4% pointing to business buyers instead.
How do I get help?+
Support runs through help centre, the only channel listed for this brand. Anyone who wants a direct line should compare elsewhere, while the service itself stays available on web, android and ios in the meantime.
How does the price compare with the other options?+
The $4 entry price is the lowest of the listed alternatives: €9 for Qonto, €9.90 for Accountable and DKK 160 for Billy. On entry price FrenchPod101 ranks 17 of 200 brands on the page.
Who runs the service?+
The service is run by Innovative Language Learning, the company behind the pricing page and the free plan and free trial options. Support stays limited to help centre, and the courses are delivered on web, android and ios.
