Pros and cons

Pros

  • Breadth, with shared web hosting, managed web hosting, virtual private servers, Odoo cloud hosting and domain names in one range (shared web hosting, managed web hosting / PaaS and virtual private servers (managed and unmanaged)).
  • Site Pro includes free SSL, backups, staging and email (free ssl, backups and staging).
  • Support covers email, chat, phone and a help centre (email, chat and phone).

Cons

  • Cost is the weak side, since €9.90 sits at position 236 of 282 on the intro price list.
  • The support range is email, chat and phone, which leaves community forums out of the options.
  • Hosting allowances follow the plan, so Site Pro and Archipel differ sharply in how many domains they carry.

Who it suits

  • Small businesses, which is the stated audience (small business).
  • Firms in Gabon that want a home-region server, given the Libreville entry in the location list.
  • Organisations already running Odoo, since Odoo cloud hosting sits in the range (shared web hosting, managed web hosting / PaaS and virtual private servers (managed and unmanaged)).

Who should look elsewhere

  • Buyers chasing the lowest entry price, since Render lists $0.
  • Readers who price in other currencies, since Hosting.cl lists CLP 159,900 and Afrihost lists ZAR 84.

What it does well

Shared web hosting, managed web hosting, managed and unmanaged virtual private servers, Odoo cloud hosting and domain names (shared web hosting, managed web hosting / PaaS and virtual private servers (managed and unmanaged)). Site Pro adds free SSL, backups, staging and email (free ssl, backups and staging). Locations begin in Libreville, Gabon, and run across Africa (Libreville (Gabon), South Africa and Algeria).

Who runs it

Hodi SAS is the operating company, registered in Saint-Denis de la Reunion (Hodi SAS (RCS Saint-Denis de la Reunion 910 167 758)), and the headquarters country is given as RE. Support runs on email, chat and phone, so buyers can reach the team by email, chat, phone or the help centre under the same entity.

Frequently asked questions

What does hosting cost to start?+

Hodi Gabon lists an introductory price of €9.90 for web hosting. The brands compared here start at CLP 159,900, $0 and ZAR 84, so this entry point sits at the higher end of that small field.

Where are the servers?+

Locations begin in Libreville, Gabon, and then cover much of Africa and the Indian Ocean (Libreville (Gabon), South Africa and Algeria). Buyers in Gabon have a home-region node, and the wider list gives nearby options across the continent.

How many websites can one plan host?+

Hosted domains depend on the plan, and the stated range runs from a minimal offer to Archipel with many more, with Site Pro near the lower end. Domain names sit in the same provider line (shared web hosting, managed web hosting / PaaS and virtual private servers (managed and unmanaged)), so extra sites need no second supplier.

What comes with the hosting plan?+

Site Pro lists free SSL, backups, staging and email (free ssl, backups and staging). Alongside shared web hosting, the provider sells managed web hosting, managed and unmanaged virtual private servers, Odoo cloud hosting and domain names (shared web hosting, managed web hosting / PaaS and virtual private servers (managed and unmanaged)). Firms already on Odoo can keep the ERP and the site together.

How do I reach support?+

Support runs on email, chat and phone: email, chat, phone and a help centre. Buyers who prefer to talk to a person have phone and chat alongside the written options, and the help centre covers common questions.

Who is behind Hodi Gabon?+

The brand is run by Hodi SAS, registered in Saint-Denis de la Reunion (Hodi SAS (RCS Saint-Denis de la Reunion 910 167 758)), and the headquarters country is given as RE. The legal notice and the terms of service name the entity a customer contracts with.
