Pros and cons
Pros
- Entry price of €1.33, under the site median at €2.99
- A .com costs €12.99 and renews at €12.99, so the bill does not jump at renewal
- Free SSL, backups and email sit inside the plans, per free ssl, backups and email
- An uptime guarantee of 99.99% is stated, and hosting plus domain registration are sold together
Cons
- The money-back period of 10 days is shorter than the site median at 30
- Support runs on help centre and email only, with no phone line or live chat listed
- The data centre list names Frosinone, Italy, so no second location is stated
Who it suits
- Small businesses in Italy that want hosting, a .com and email from one provider
- Beginners who need shared, WordPress or eCommerce hosting without a long commitment
- Site owners who want the .com renewal price to match what they paid at the start
Who should look elsewhere
- Readers after a free entry point, since Render lists $0
- Anyone who needs a longer refund window than 10, and should weigh Afrihost at ZAR 84 instead
- Readers who want a price list outside the euro area, where Hosting.cl quotes CLP 159,900
How it compares on our data
On intro price, Tophost sits 48 of 282 brands, which places it in the middle of the list rather than the front. On the money-back period it ranks 250 of 275, so the refund window is the weaker part of the deal. Cheap to start does not mean a long runway for changing your mind.
The company behind it
The provider behind Tophost is TOPHOST S.r.l. a socio unico, headquartered in Italy and trading since 2004. Support runs on help centre and email, which is self-service first: a help centre for the routine questions and email for the rest. No phone line or live chat is listed, so anything urgent waits on a written reply.
