- A .com first year price of $25 sits under the ZAR 289 and CLP 16,900 first year quotes.
Cons

- Buyers who prefer a mid range .com figure over the cheapest intro deal, given $25.
Who should look elsewhere
- VPS.org, if the lowest .com first year price decides it: $12.51.
- Afrihost, if its ZAR 289 first year price fits your budget better.
- Host Chile, if you would rather register at CLP 16,900 for the first year.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a .com at .UG Registry for the first year?+
The listed .com first year price is $25. That is the figure to budget for a new .com registration, and it reads as a flat rate rather than a discounted opening year that jumps later.
What does a .com cost when it renews?+
The .com renewal price is $25, the same figure as the .com first year price of $25. A registrant holding a .com here can plan renewals without setting money aside for a higher rate later on.
How does the .com price compare with the other registrars?+
VPS.org lists a .com first year price of $12.51, below the $25 here, while Afrihost lists ZAR 289 and Host Chile lists CLP 16,900. Each figure carries its own currency, so check the amounts line up before switching.
How many endings can I register through the registry?+
The registry lists 13 top level domains. That is a short catalogue next to a general registrar selling endings for many markets, so anyone hunting a particular extension elsewhere will need another place to look.
Who should pick .UG Registry?+
It suits registrants who want their domains in the same place and who care that the entry price and the renewal price agree, since $25 covers the first year and $25 the renewal. Shoppers chasing the lowest first year may prefer VPS.org.
What should I weigh before choosing a registrar?+
Weigh the price at entry, listed at $25, and the price at renewal, listed at $25. Then weigh the breadth of the catalogue, 13 top level domains. VPS.org at $12.51 may serve a budget buyer better.
Is the .com first year price a promotional rate?+
The .com first year price of $25 and the .com renewal price of $25 are the same figure, so this is a flat rate rather than a promotion that expires after the opening year. Budgeting a .com for several terms ahead is straightforward.
